Spyder Video Processor Entertainment Solutions

A legendary performer.

Live show producers have known for years that Spyder is the most versatile video layering system for the stage ever developed. When it comes to live multiple-destination video and data mixed-signal switching, nothing even comes close. Producers swear by Spyder because it can support multi-display environments at extremely high resolutions using any mix of digital and analog sources, resolutions and aspect ratios—and display them at any size, anywhere, seamlessly. Check out the spectacular performance of the Spyder video processor within the entertainment industry.

Some of the biggest names in the business.

Madonna. Nine Inch Nails. Bon Jovi. Their producers have all turned to Spyder for show-stopping visual effects and a flexible, creative live-entertainment environment. A few highlights worth mentioning:

Bon Jovi “Have a Nice Day Tour”—The first to carry an HD camera and playback system with them throughout their tour, thanks to Spyder, which created six full-resolution HD screen spaces and manipulated 15 layers of 1080i HD video.

Video Music Awards—Show producers used Spyder to process video clips, live camera shots, and multiple inputs displayed on an array of outputs such as theatre walls, curtains and LED screens. Spyder also provided HD playback for all HD feeds, processing a total of 13 million pixels.

Pope John Paul II Concert Tribute—At this international event held in Rome’s Olympic stadium, producers relied on Spyder to layer multiple inputs and process and project images seamlessly across three continuous screens measuring 40 x 10 meters.

The show starts with Spyder.

This amazing system gives you the flexibility and control you need to create exactly what you want to see onstage. Even the most high-tech, high-quality, innovative display sets are well within Spyder’s reach:

  • Control multiple pixel spaces and multiple display devices from the same control environment
  • Create a background canvas of millions of pixels and incorporate live multi-format sources—DVI, HDSDI, analog, composite, you name it—onto single or multiple displays
  • Display live-camera feeds, computer graphics and prerecorded video media simultaneously
  • Combine preprogramming and live switching for greater flexibility
  • Set and visualize your show prior to presentation

Although there are really many systems built into it, the key to Spyder is its simplicity. Spyder’s intuitive software SpyderPoint allows you to program and edit “on the fly,” and with all its versatility, flexibility, high-resolution and wide-screen capabilities, Spyder couldn’t be easier to use.

This is a scalable solution that can grow to meet new and emerging applications. Your industry needs it. Your audience demands it. It’s time to put Spyder in your repertoire.
