Phoenix – February 16, 2006 – Podimatas Audiovisual in collaboration with Videotooth Event
Engineering employed Vista Systems’ Spyder 344 system for the annual meeting of Janssen-
Cilag EMEA, one of the world’s leading research-based pharmaceutical companies.
The meeting, held in Athens, Greece, centered around the theme, “Man, the sovereign of water.”
A 3x8-meter rear-projection screen, fed by three Barco SLM R-10 projectors, thrilled the
audience with widescreen images relating to the water theme. The use of Spyder permitted the
integration of the video footage with DVCAM camera outputs, PC-based Power Point content
and Mac-based HD clips without the need for external upconversion, downconversion or scaling.
Extron SDI 88, composite 1616, and RGBHV 128 routers were also employed.
“The result left the client, the producer and our audiovisual partner very satisfied,” notes Vassilis
Leonidopoulos, one of the owners of Videotooth Event Engineering. “The producer, Fanis
Douskos, said that their conferences will be different from now on.”
Leonidopoulos views Spyder as “a creative tool in the hands of every producer. Its capabilities
make every application, conference and event very unique.”
In fact, he has become such a proponent of Spyder that he says, “the new slogan of Videotooth
is, ‘Don’t let your audience wish they were at the cinema…Put the big screen in front of them!’
If you use Spyder, you can’t have a boring event.”
